Enchanted Christmas at Westonbirt Arboretum

Near Tetbury in Gloucestershire, a new trail by the same creatives behind Christmas at Kew set in the lovely Forestrry England Westonbirt. Dates from late Nov through Dec 2025.

Spectacle of Light at Sudeley Castle & Gardens

Enchantment at Langford Lakes

Near Wellington, Langford Lakes Christmas Tree Farm will enchant you with an illuminated trail around the lakes before meandering around the Christmas Tree forest. The Bishops Palace, Wells, Somerset

Explore the historic Palace and RHS inner gardens as they are transformed into a dazzling wonderland of light, colour and festive joy.

Dorset

Bournemouth Christmas Tree Wonderland

A free, festive-themed illuminations across Bournemouth (lower & upper gardens), including light tunnels, giant tree, reindeer displays. Typically runs mid‑Nov to 31 Dec.

Poole Christmas Maritime Light Trail

Celebrating Poole’s nautical heritage this event includes a light‑trail along quayside and boat cruises. Expected again in 2025.

Blue Pool

Near Wareham,  this poplular lakeside attraction will Illuminate in January and February, guiding you around the lake and through the woodlands.

Abbotsbury Subtropical Gardens

See the gardens in a whole new perspective as they are lit up with an array of colours throughout these beautiful gardens on the south coast on the Jurassic Coast from 21st November.

Devon Christmas Lights

Torquay

One of the most popular events in Devon returns with the Bay of Lights, an illumiated 1.5km trail along the pretty seafront of Torquay. From 28th November to 2nd January this is a free event to enjoy.

RHS Rosemoor (North Devon)

Celebrating the 10th aniversary of the popular Glow display. Book ahead for RHS Rosemoor with a redesigned Winter Garden, where trees shimmer in ethereal blues and greens, and light installations create a wonderland perfect for families and festive photos. Also enjoy refreshments and gift shopping.

Powderham Castle Christmas

Babbacombe Model Village.

There will be Christmas scenes and a wonderland of illuminations as the model village comes to life for Christmas from 22nd November. Illuminations on selected days (from 3.30pm to 6.30pm) but arrive in daylight to see the detailed displays as well.

 Powderham Castle near Exeter

Follow the light trail and explore Powderham Castle’s ground, buildings and the castle. For the best views walk down from the main entrance / farm shop.

Tickets on sale for dates 1st to 31st December 2025.  Inside the Festive House Experience features rooms decorated in seasonal decor. Enjoy live music performances and food vendors. They are also offering a festive afternoon tea.

Night Gardens at The Lost Gardens of Heligan

These beautiful gardens are transformed with magical trails and lights and lanterns around the gardens on selected evening weekends from mid November through to early January. Enjoy hot food and refreshments as well.

Mousehole Christmas Lights

The famous Cornwall village display includes thousands of bulbs, reindeer, Christmas pudding motifs, running mid‑December to early January.

Celebrations includes Tom Bawcock’s Eve. A traditional festival held annually on December 23rd that celebrates the legend of a local fisherman, Tom Bawcock, The festival features a Starry Gazey Pie, a lantern procession and music.
