Cirque Berserk Theatre Circus Show

There were ooos, gasps and plenty of clapping as the tumblers tumbled and the aerial ballet dancers gracefully spun round silk suspended from the ceiling. This was just the start of a fabulous performance by the touring Cirque Berserk theatre circus show.

We were invited along to the Northcot Theatre in Exeter to see real circus acts from around the world. The troupe have come together to perform in a fantastic and death-defying show that left us on the edge of our seats and fully immersed.

Death-defying Acts

From Mongolia the extremely flexible Elberel squeezed into a ridiculously small space and Toni from Czechoslovakia hurled knives at his brave wife Nikol.

We were entertained by the comic acrobat and showman Paulo from Brazil and the athletic strength of Fidel from Cuba was amazing.

Traditional Circus Skills

Combining centuries old circus skills with a modern approach it was so great to watch this show in the comfort of a theatre. The performers are so skilled and have clearly trained so hard for many years to perfect their acts. In some ways they makes the stunts look easy, but of course they are not.

Amazing Stunt Riders

Also on stage was a large globe set up for the astonishing Lucius Team of stunt motorcycle riders. Racing around inside a metal cage seemed pretty crazy for just two motorbikes but by the and of the show we were seriously on the edge of our seats as more riders joined the globe.

With over 30 jugglers, acrobats, dancers, drummers and stuntmen the show really is a great evening of entertainment. What was lovely was that all ages were in the audience and everyone was equally enthralled.
