Where to Find Pick Your Own Pumpkin Patches 2025
With the summer behind us we can look ahead to autumn days out. It’s fun for all ages to find a pick your own pumpkin patch local to you and these are popular across the country.
To help you find pumpkin patches near you, I’ve updated this list for 2025. Pumpkin patches do seem to come and go and I do my best to keep up with the changes.
Please check each location for details as some require booking. Also check if dogs are allowed. Take your wellies!

Lifton Farm Shop (Strawberry Fields)
Near the Devon and Cornwall border this lovely farm shop has plenty going on.
The annual Pumpkin Fest will have lots of family fun on offer as well pumpkin picking & carving, daily entertainment, creepy maize maze and the barrel train (separate charges) plus lots of photo opportunities.

Pips Pick Your Own
Near Plymouth this PYO will be open for a pumpkin picking days in October and a scary walk through.
Dates: from Oct 1st daily until they are sold out 10am – 5pm.

Devon Pumpkin Picking, South Devon
Pumpkins in all shapes and sizes. Two locations in South Devon at Bickington (Newton Abbott) & near Paignton. Free entry, no need to book.
Dates: Open on weekends from 4th October then 25th – 31st October 2025. 10am-4pm.

Orway is on the mid/east Devon border near Cullompton with all sorts of different pumpkins and wheel barrows to borrow.
Great location and access for a fun activity for anyone and everyone.

Home grown pumpkin patch with lots to choose from. Refreshments. Easily accessible car park.

Halberton Court Farm Shop
Halberton Court Farm Shop is near Tiverton.
From 6th September – Open Monday to Saturday, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. No need to book.
Wellington Boots/sturdy boots are advisable after the rain. There is a short walk to the Pumpkin Patch, follow the fantastic trail of surprises to get to the pumpkins.
Prices are size-dependent. No dogs allowed on the fields.

Castlewood Farm
Musbury, near Axminster, EX13 8SS
Open over half term open from the 24-31st October. 10am-3pm
Free entry. Enjoy PYO pumpkins, children’s scavenger hunt, play area, food and refreshments.
Greendale Farm Shop
There a free pumpkin path attraction this half term at Greendale, suitable for all ages and accessible. Starts on 11th October through to half term. Note it’s not a PYO.
Near Exeter on the Sidmouth Road.
Pick Your Own Pumpkins Exeter (Exminster)
Based in Exminster free entry and lots of extra activities to enjoy.
Dates: Weekends from 11th October 25th-31st October. 9am-5pm each day.
Entertainment inflatable obstacles, face painting, barrel train rides and more. Check for details and to book ahead for activities. More details here.

Pick your own pumpkins this October at this great family location. Over 5o varieties of pumpkin, gourd and squash there is something for everyone.

Alongside all the usual thrills of the Big Sheep there’s a pumpkin patch and lots of Halloween fun over half term. Pumpkin carving and giant marshmallow toasting.

This PYO near Christchurch in Dorset has two locations. The Cat and Fiddle Farm has a has a cafe and extra Halloween activities.
Sopley Farm and Farm Shop near Christchurch has PYO all year round different for produce.

In South Somerset you can pick a pumpkins at:
Thurloxton Pumpkin patch nr Taunton from 19th August
Pitt Farm Pumpkins, on the main A38 between Taunton and Wellington
Palette and Pasture, Pyle Farm, Trudoxhill, Frome
Fairfield Pumpkins – nr Yeovil
Hunt for the best pumpkin in the patch.

Farrington’s Farm Shop
Located between Bristol and Shepton Mallet there are plenty of pumpkins to choose from – they have planted 40,000!
Dates from 4th October 2025:
Booking required. Tickets are £3.95 each and include entry to the pumpkin field (pumpkins extra).
Once you have picked your perfect pumpkin carving tables will be ready for you to carve them into any creation you wish. Plus Tractor Trailer rides, children’s funfair (additional charges apply), food and drink.
The Trough nr Yeovil
Opening Times: 11th & 12th October, 18th & 19th October, 24th – 31st October 10am – 4pm
No booking needed & free entry. Be sure to check out the lovely restaurant for food.

Avon Valley Adventure and Wildlife Park
Located between Bristol and Bath this extensive pumpkin patch is situated alongside the park with its own car park with wheelbarrows on hand for those absolute whoppers.
Dates: weekends from 27th September and throughout October half term with extra activities at weekends and half term.
The themed pumpkin area has fete games, fair rides as well as food and drink.
Entrance is £7.99 adults and children age 2-16 booked in advance (some activities charged as extra).
Where to Find Pick Your Own Pumpkin Patches in Cornwall
Healeys Cornish Cyder Farm near Newquay
Halloween haunted tractor rides, pumpkin patch and spooky pumpkin carving sessions!
Dates from 11th October 2025, board the haunted Vintage Tractor and you’ll be taken to the Healeys Pumpkin Patch to pick out your very own pumpkin. Then get creative in the Rattler Bar, which will be transformed into a spooky pumpkin carving family workshop.
Check the website and social media for details to book. This popular cider farm also runs apple days, guided tours and Christmas Markets.
