Discover what Christmas would have been like in a large country house and see the beautiful Christmas lights. Once again the garden at Kingston Lacy will be illuminated until 7pm every Friday, Saturday and Sunday evening over the Christmas period. (check the events pages for more detailed times, house tours are timed and need to be booked).
New for 2017 enjoy a new illuminated route of the gardens taking in the original Bankes ‘winter walk’ and Lime Avenue. This beautiful display sees the historic cedars transformed by blue, purple yellow and green lights, whilst the fernery is draped with delicate fairy lights like a magical grotto.
We went to this last year and it was lovely to see, make sure you leave time for a hot chocolate in the cafe! Dogs are allowed in parts of the garden to allow you to see the lights and walk your dog (on a lead). Father Christmas will also be there on selected days. More details and booking link on the National Trust website.
